My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

Boy did you hit the nail on the head Jeff!! I'm in the exact same boat... have had MS for as long if not longer and NEVER BEFORE have had this much spam getting through the filters! I think it is a ploy by MS to have people pay. The problem with that ... is I already pay with another email address thru MS so they're not going to get more $$ out of me! I also pay for their 365 thru my business... so where does one draw the line?! If they don't get their act together... A LOT OF US will "jump the MS ship" ...!

All my messages ( over 7,000 emails) from my inbox, were put into my deleted folder. I click on the prompt to open and try to restore all at one time. Sadly, I am only able to restore one at a time. I tried to select all and restore, but not allowed.

Is there a method to select all 7,000 messages to move back to my inbox, instead of having to click on each one?

    Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

this is the second time I've had this problem after 15 years using outlook. I recently read Microsoft was doing this to encourage users to pay for an upgrade to their outlook account and they fix the junk problem with the upgrade.

Try this: click all the spam in your inbox (in my case all the spam subject started with "Re:....text"). click "Report Phishing or Report Junk". After a few days the junk didn't appear in my inbox.
