My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

This solution doesn't work as appears they use a new random character spoofed address each time.

Yes, I feel the same. Microsoft is absolutely brick walling this problem. I did set my spam level to the highest possible but still get a few that Outlook lets in. I no longer go through my Spam file. It is laborious and time consuming. 500 to 1000 go my spam folder every day! :(

I think I am going to do the same. Going back to Yahoo who NEVER had these issues before. I am hoping this is Not the norm for all emails. This is outrageous. I don't even want to look at my emails due to so many spam and junk mail. However, sometimes you have important emails coming in and I have to sift through the garbage. Waste of time. Also, the enormous amounts of illegal scams going on is ridiculous. How is this even allowed? Believe me, already looking into deleting email. No help on the subject.

they don't care. I wasted an hour of my life 'chatting' with an agent, who opened outlook the program on my PC, which I NEVER use, told me changing the spam filter on there will solve all my problems. It didn't do anything, my issue was legit e-mail going into spam, he 'turned off' my outlook spam filter when i pointed to the outlook.com UI, where you can't turn it off. He said they are the same, I clearly know more than these idiots. They told me there is no one that can look at the server back-end spam filtering. What a joke. I finally have given up after a year of this non-sense an moved all my e-mail back to Yahoo.
