My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

This solution doesn't work as appears they use a new random character spoofed address each time.

Yes, I feel the same. Microsoft is absolutely brick walling this problem. I did set my spam level to the highest possible but still get a few that Outlook lets in. I no longer go through my Spam file. It is laborious and time consuming. 500 to 1000 go my spam folder every day! :(

Microsoft - this HAS TO STOP!! If you can't stop it, then you will lose a lot of users! It eats up about an hour of my day, every single day just cleaning out these junk emails. Yes, we all know how to block them, but it doesn't do any good. There was one suggestion about all of we users sending them to Microsoft Support and see if they like it! I might just start doing that.

I think if enough users consider taking part in a class action MS might pay attention to the problem
