My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

How do you keep your email address private when you have to furnish it for a business transaction?

I've had this email account for over 20 years now. Never spam free but never have I had 100+ spam emails coming to my inbox daily for months now. So not some spam - lots of spam!!

I agree ! It seems Microsoft is getting wayyyy to busy selling e-mail addresses. I'm considering abandoning my microsoft/outlook e-mail just for this reason

Agreed, it's like whack-a-mole blocking each email. There are no two emails from the same sender, it looks like they're all from a throwaway email address (for example, this is an actual address one was sent from: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Is there a way to train the spam filter to filter these ridiculously obvious spam email addresses?

It’s amazing, while MIcrosoft makes a big deal of their AI capabilities they cannot even stop industrial-scale spam. I get between 50-100 per day. I m writing to Satya now!!
