How to stop Outlook links being opened in Edge

Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

Thanks

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

Here's a thought - it should. It's pathetic that MS is actively ignoring their own users set preferences (that are getting more and more annoying to change) to try and force people to use their browser that people clearly and explicitly do not want to use.

These solutions only work for newer versions of Outlook. I am licensed to use the latest version, but hate it. This is an extremely annoying problem. I can't even get PDFs to open in Adobe without changing the settings every few days. I'm beginning to despise Microsoft for force ingme to use applications I do not wish to use for several reasons.

All I see are replies by others. This one finally lets "me" say something. I've come to hate Microsoft. They're controlling and don't care what the people want. I saw what Microsoft did, "unethically", to WordPerfect. I did countless hours of word processing and WordPerfect was FAR SUPERIOR to Word. Then Microsoft sold the wrong codes to WordPerfect when Microsoft had control over Windows. Microsoft is unethical. I could go on and on but it's pointless. With Bill Gates it's all about the $$$ and he's made a bundle. So much more to tell but it's a waste of time.

This is a hideous "feature". Microsoft should be ashamed for this. But they're not going to be.
