How to stop Outlook links being opened in Edge

Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

Thanks

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

This is the first time in a long while where I enter an answers.M$ link and I actually find an answer. Of course, it didn't come from a MS "expert". You can see his useless replies at the beginning where he tries an unrelated "solution"... Even when the OP explained that his default browser IS NOT Edgy. They don't read.

I usually prefer Reddit where real users have the solutions like you do.

Thank you for your suggestion, this is how mine was set in Outlook mobile app but was not effective. I set it to Edge, saved it then set it back to "Default Browser" and this worked.

Hope this helps others. Thanks again

In 2024, this "feature" is now hidden here:
