How to stop Outlook links being opened in Edge

Hi,

Normally my Outlook links open in my default browser Chrome.

Today they started to open in Edge even though Chrome is still the default browser.

How do I get them to open in Chrome again?

I am using Windows 11 with the Outlook app.

Thanks

This is a new feature in OUTLOOK and has nothing to do with the default apps in the OS settings.

Go to Outlook Options > Advanced > Link Handling > "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in:" > Select "Default Browser".

Did Microsoft know that this "feature" is very very annoying? 😡

The person who imagined this feature should be fired!

My two cents: this is a really hostile way to shove Edge down users' throats when they don't want it. Users should feel just as free to use whatever browser they want as they are to visit any website they want.

This solution is only temporaty. The real problem is that every single time Microsoft updates the setting reverts to EDGE - I do not want to ever use EDGE under any circumstances. I do not want to ever use BING under any circumstances. How do we permanently remove these as options for use.

    Thank you
