Can't Generate 3rd Party App Password (AOL) for Outlook 2016 Desktop using Windows 11

I have been using Outlook 2016 Desktop for Windows for quite awhile to access my AOL - (Verizon.net) emails. Just recently, I can't sync my AOL emails to my Outlook 2016 Desktop app. I can not generate an app password via AOL in order to sync and download my new emails to Outlook. I have contacted AOL several times and they are NO help at all. How can I generate a 3rd Party App password to make my outlook work as before? Any ideas/solutions on how to get around this issue?

P.S. I am using Outlook 2016 Desktop (Windows 11), not Outlook 365 or Outlook.com app.

AOL Password Generator has been working all day today (6/29/2023)!!!!! This was after no luck the past week trying to set up my AOL email account on a new computer. After a successful setup I went back and generated a second temp password that I am storing for future use in case this happens again.

I didn't know you could generate a second password for later use! Will it still be good to use at a later date or does it expire after a certain time period?

@Vinnie C. I actually got the idea of saving a "backup password" from someone on another board. I am not aware that they do expire, but I have not tried the backup yet. I think as long as it is not used which AOL will indicate as seen below, it should work. @warsheepo let us know if it does.

AGREE 100% on everything you said! It's all about money and using AOL's apps (with all their annoying ads)
