Since early December all of our Outlook365 users (in all tenants) have been getting the tag [External] in the subject line of their Outlook, and want it removed. I am only finding PS scripts which do not work. I have searched the settings and security areas of the admin console but have not found anything. Please help!

Also having the same issue across every tenant we manage.
"externalinoutlook" was set to false the first moments that this appeared which is now more than a week ago and no changes to a single tenant has occurred yet.
adding domains to the exclusion works even though its disabled.
Every single client has requested this be disabled as its damn ugly in the implementation of it.
Am all ears how to get O365 to respect the setting when its set to false.

If this tag is just not needed, then we cannot implement it so far because it is the result of a product update. It is determined by the relevant design and development department of the product. Sounds like this thread is getting a little punchy so I will lock it. Let's all point the finger towards Microsoft development team as they are the ones doing these Knee jerk "feature updates" without offering an opt out solution for the sysadmins.
