my yahoo mail comes in unread able as it is scrambled words how to correct this

This thread concerns Yahoo mail being read on the Windows 10/11 Mail app. That's not clear in many of the posts in this thread.

This has been going on for some time and it seems others are having same problem is there a solution?

There isn't a fix for this. At present, the workaround is to read these messages at https://mail.yahoo.com with a browser.

    There isn't a fix for this. At present, the workaround is to read these messages at https://mail.yahoo.com with a browser.

    I too have Yahoo mail. It is actually a transition from Bell south email now being administered by ATT/Yahoo. I have noticed also a lot of my email now comes in scrambled looking like hieroglyphics. It is not all email and some companies come through fine. I have made no change in my anti virus or email specifications. I will probably have to get a new email provider as this appears to be ongoing and cannot risk not receiving a legible important email.

    FINALLY AFTER 2 YEARS OF TRYING TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF MY YAHOO MAIL

    FROM VARIOUS COMPANIES (eg Norton, Kijiji, My Compass, Craftsman Tools etc )

    ALL COMING IN ALL SCRAMBLED UP

    when I use windows 10, bottom left tells me it is Windows Mail

    TO SOLVE PROBLEM

    Go to yahoo.com

    Open an account, go in and create new mail boxes (I have 2)

    use the same e-mail address and password. (that was going you problems in Windows mail)

    Problem now solved,

    Go to your mail box via YAHOO.COM and all mail is now readable!

    Hopes this helps many,it has been bugging for 2 years

    A few users have reported that removing the Yahoo account from the Windows 10/11 Mail app then adding it back fixed this for them. Others reported that this did not help them.
