Gmail / Google - Browser does not support Javascript when trying to add gmail account to Outlook 365

I am lost and google search providing no answers!

I am getting a strange issue when trying to add my google account to Outlook 365

When adding a gmail account and connecting to google for auth, I am able to enter my email address, type of account, but after I submit my password I get the following error.

I even lowered security for the Internet zone to Medium and still no go My default browser in Windows is set to Chrome, it does have Javascript enabled as well - I use the gmail link all the time no issue and to check, I disabled Java in chrom and couldn't access gmail link, so I re-enabled it.

Apart from check this java setting in this browser, is there anyone that can get current google mail to work with current Outlook 365?

    Tom,

    The article I posted is a couple pages back so adding it here too, Error 'This web browser does not support JavaScript or scripts are being blocked' when adding a Google Workspace account (microsoft.com).

    Paste this path in Regedit and press Enter. Or, manually navigate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER tree to this location:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION

    You should have FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION. Click on it and in the window on the right locate OUTLOOK.EXE. Double click on OUTLOOK.EXE, click the Decimal radio button, and set the number to 11001 and click OK.

    Thank you as well, it worked! I just purchased a new LG Ultra 17" laptop. It came preloaded with Windows 11 Home which I immediately upgraded to Windows 11 Pro. I have 3 separate emails through my internet provider Telus. One account I was able to connect with no issues. When I went to add the second account, I got the JavaScript error. Telus support was no help, after being on hold for an hour, they said to call Microsoft Support and gave me Microsoft's support number which they must have had memorized. I called Microsoft support, got a recording that gave me a link to Microsoft main help page which was useless. I DuckDuckGo'd the error message and it brought me directly to this page. After scrolling through all the comments/replies I came to this instruction. Followed the step-by-step instructions and was able to add my other two emails with no errors.

    Gabriel,

    Sorry, was out of town for a while. The issue I am having is that the file you are asking to edit does not exist. Here is a screen shot. This is on my work computer. On my home desktop, the file did exist and I was able to fix the problem per your instructions. Any ideas about my work computer? Do I need to reinstall outlook? Something else?

    Tom,

    Is your Outlook 32-Bit or 64-Bit? In Outlook click File, Office Account, About Outlook, at the top in bold does it say 32-Bit or 64-Bit? If you are 32-Bit, its possible the registry keys are under this path:

    Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION

    I don't have a 32-Bit Outlook to test this further right now. If this path exists for you try make the same changes in this path.

    The computer I'm having the problem with is 32-bit Outlook. When I look in the alternate location, it isn't there either.

    Would it makes sense for me to simply create the key in this alternate location?
