The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again. HOW LONG IS THAT MOMENT?

Today I received an email from Microsoft saying

Security alert
We think that someone else might have accessed the Microsoft account ed**___@___.___. When this happens, we require you to verify your identity with a security challenge and then change your password the next time you sign in.

I've changed logged in, went through the security checks, and I've changed my password, but now when I try to log in, it tells me

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in at the moment. Please try again later. The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

I'm on a Mac, and I can't access it through the Mail app, nor through a web browser. I've cleared the cache, I've restarted both the app and the browsers and the computer, I've tried different browsers, as well as Incongito Window mode, with no luck. It works on my phone Outlook app, though. But I can't access my emails on my computer?

Any ideas? How long do I have to wait to try it again? I've allowed an hour to pass and I'm still experiencing the same issue.

Thanks.

Unexpectedly, I managed to log in this morning on my Linux computer. On Chrome, it worked by turning off my two ad blocker (AdBlock Plus) and anti-tracking (Ghostery) plugins. All of a sudden, the page to download the app or to use the web app appeared.

Not sure whether MS changed something, or was it just this basic thing. Good luck everyone with your efforts.

On my Linux computer, Firefoz is still reported as an "unsupported browser"

Um, so, it's not my fault, and you want me to wait 24 hours to access my work documents? As in my job? THE ALMIGHTY WINDOWS CLOUD SERVER THAT SERVES AS A BACKUP TO THE FILES I KEEP UNTIL I NEED THEM?

I don't know what the glitch is, but I have only tried to access my files from home and I was on another server today and not using my gmail to log in. I need to access my account, so why don't you just clear that **** up so I can actually do my job? This cloud service should NOT BE HAVING THESE ISSUES. I am FURIOUS.
