How do I move to next email from an open email? Little arrows have disappeared

How do I move to the next email when I am in an open email? I used to have two little arrows (for up and down) to scroll up and down open emails, but they disappeared. Now if I want to go from one open email to the next one, I first have to close that email and then open the next one.

If I press PageUp or PageDown or any arrows, it just scrolls INSIDE the open email. I'd like to move from one open email to the next open email (I used to do that with the little arrow icons that appeared when an email was open).

Can someone help, please?

    Yes,the arrows are back for me too. But I still wish the trash can icons in the inbox were back where they used to be, in between the sender name and the subject title. I feel like they fixed the totally accidental mistake but not the stupid intentional mistake.
