How do I move to next email from an open email? Little arrows have disappeared

How do I move to the next email when I am in an open email? I used to have two little arrows (for up and down) to scroll up and down open emails, but they disappeared. Now if I want to go from one open email to the next one, I first have to close that email and then open the next one.

If I press PageUp or PageDown or any arrows, it just scrolls INSIDE the open email. I'd like to move from one open email to the next open email (I used to do that with the little arrow icons that appeared when an email was open).

Can someone help, please?

    In outlook online (OWA) the arrows remain missing.

    On a MAC, until there is a fix, I've used:

    Command and . (period) for previous messages and

    Command and , (comma) for next messages.

    This has now been fixed, at least for me! See below the new ribbon + old up/down arrows to the right.
