How do I move to next email from an open email? Little arrows have disappeared

How do I move to the next email when I am in an open email? I used to have two little arrows (for up and down) to scroll up and down open emails, but they disappeared. Now if I want to go from one open email to the next one, I first have to close that email and then open the next one.

If I press PageUp or PageDown or any arrows, it just scrolls INSIDE the open email. I'd like to move from one open email to the next open email (I used to do that with the little arrow icons that appeared when an email was open).

Can someone help, please?

    Hi Ron,

    thank you for replying. I get very different things from what you get. Maybe your answer is for Mac users? I'm on Windows 10.
    When I click on an email, it opens, but not in a different window. Until recently, there were small arrows on the top right of the open email, and I could use those arrows to scroll up and down messages. Now those arrows are not there any more, and I have to

    -open an email

    -close that email

    -select another email

    -open that other email

    ... it's a pain. There must be a way to scroll in one step

    If I go in Outlook Settings and search for Quick Access, I can't get any result

    I could send a screenshot of what I see, but it doesn't see that this chat allows attachments?

    When you view messages in a separate window, the Next and Previous arrows are only available on the Quick Access Toolbar.

    The Quick Access Toolbar can be above or below the ribbon.

    First, open a message.

    Make the Quick Access Toolbar appear. (first picture)

    Click on the Customize Quick Access Toolbar icon at the end of the bar. (second picture)

    Click More Commands.

    Add Next and Previous. (third picture)

    Another way to get to the Customize page:

    First, open a message.

    File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar

    Note: you have to use the File menu from an open message.
