I have had outlook 365 for years. Nothing on my end has changed. Suddenly (as of yesterday) every time i click on New Email a pop out window opens up (and the signature within my email is HUGE. About a 48 font yet the font showing is 12) This has never happened before and it is QUITE annoying. I have searched within the OPTIONS of Outlook and I cannot find anything with the option to open a pop out window when composing a new email. So there appears to be nothing for me to check/uncheck in this regard. As far as I know i have had no updates to Outlook that would have made this happen. Has anyone else had this happen and have you figured out how to stop it?????

Your suggestion appears to be the ONLY solution to the PROBLEM since even Microsoft technicians don’t know how to fix it…. Thanks for sharing; it worked for me…. All of the other suggestions by Microsoft DID NOT WORK or suggested options were not available on either the app OR the web versions. I don’t know what they were looking at—-but it certainly was NOT what WE were looking at!
Their issue is different. We are on the desktop version on Outlook and when we click on the top left button to compose a 'New Mail', a totally separate window opens for it to write the new email. I want it to be in-line with my reading pane instead of opening a new window. If you try the new version of Outlook, it will be in-line as it should be and does not open a new window when you click "new message", but I dont like the new version of Outlook. I want to use the normal one I've used for years. So frustrating.
Worked for me as well. Thank goodness as that was so annoying.
I cleared my history at the suggestion of an IT tech at my university. Now my msn account is back to an older format. In addition, it is displaying my incoming mail in a pop-up format that has MAIL - DOROTHY McCLELLAN at the top of the page. It displays it as a letter and doesn't allow me to edit or respond to it! What a pain in the neck! How do I 1) return to the more recent msn.com screen and 2) How do I stop everything from being transitioned into this pop-up format?
