I received an email that read: Starting on December 01, 2022, Office 365 will begin retiring Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and 1.1 for POP3 and IMAP4. TLS is a standard protocol used to provide secure web communications for POP3 and IMAP4. Pop3 and IMAP4 are the client/server protocols for receiving emails. We will enforce TS 1.2 moving forward to provide enhanced encryption and help ensure your emails are received more securely. We have already disabled TLS 1.0 and 1.1 for most Microsoft 365 services in the worldwide environment.

WHEN THIS WILL HAPPEN - December 01, 2022

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO? Our records show that your email account has reently been accessed with POP#/IMAP4 through TLS 1.0 or 1.1. POP3 and IMAP4 will not be able to receive emails with POP3/IMAP4 protocol after that. To continue accessing your email accoutn using POP3 or IMAP4, please upgrade/update your client support TLS1.2 Your emails will not be removed, but you cannot access them without upgrading your client. I do not have Office 365. I have an old hotmail account, that I access through Windows on a desktop computer, and also on my Apple phone. I'm at a loss of what I should do. The letter I got sent today to my email account seems to think that I have Office 365, but I don't. Is there anyone out there that can even tell me if this is a true Microsoft email that I received? And, is there a phone number or an email address that I can write to, so that I can get easy directions, or instructions on how I can continue to access my hotmail account after December 1, 2022? Thank you

    Sooooo, I just tried to insert the Microsoft Office 2010 DVD in my NEW computer. The installation Wizard, did not start automatically, as I thought it would. I went to the Device Manager, and found the DVD drive, thinking the name of the disk would be listed, and I would be able to double click on the file to get it going. BUT, the disk wasn't listed.

    Shoot. I was really hoping it would be easy. I don't have another DVD to even try to see is another disk would work. Now, I'm really stuck. Shoot. Maybe the disk is just tooooo old. Shoot.

    I even went to the Dell website looking for answers.

    I found information on "optical Disk Drive is unable to read/recognize a disk. Maybe it's a Dell issue. Too much gobbeldy gook, that I couldn't make sense of to figure things out.

    Quick question

    Do you see the DVD drive vis Windows Explorer?

    If you do, then the contents should look similar to

    x64 Folder

    x86 Folder

    3 files one of which should be <Setup.exe>

    What I suggest is you open the <x86> folder and click on <Setup.exe> in that folder and you should be good to go

    When I go to the Magnifying glass in the little search icon on the task bar, and put in Windows Explorer, it brings me to a page where I don't see anything with X64 or X86. I only see on the left side Home, One Drive, Desktop, Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos... In the center I see three categories: Quick Access with icons for Desktop, Downloads, Documents, Pictures, Music and videos. Favorites next category with nothing to show. And 3rd category Recents - shows recent documents and folders I've opened.

    Tell me where to find the DVD drive. I found it before under Device Manager. I found the DVD drive, but it only shows

    two things. First NVMe PM991a NVMe Samsung. Second line: ST1000DM010-2EP102

    Nothing with x64 or x86

    Can you point me in the right direction to find what I need. I still have the disk in the DVD drive. But, nothing is happening!

    There is another line: Device Driver called DVD/CD-ROM drives. Under that is: ATA PLDS DVD+ / -RW DU-8A5LH
