I have used hotmail for free for more than ten years. Today I received a message from Microsoft telling me that I don't have enough space and I cannot send or receive messages. They say I have to pay monthly or annually to be able to do that. I have deleted almost all my messages from Hotmail, but the message is still there. I feel Microsoft is forcing me to pay for hotmail now.

Yes, we’ve been hijacked by Microsoft. I too have deleted from every possible place but yet my used storage has remained the same. They force you to pay even if there are just very few emails left in the account.

I have the same problem,I spent a lot of time last night deleting my emails but to my surprise it’s still saying I have no space. I haven’t been receiving emails for 3 days now. It’s now obvious that they want us to pay for our account. It’s sooo disgusting,we were not even warned ,they are becoming crookes they didn’t warn us on purpose so that we do not make arrangements to leave them as some of us are expecting important emails and have important old emails in our accounts we will be forced to pay. That is not fair and legally I don’t think it’s correct also. We must take them to court for not informing us in advance .😡
Holding my emails hostage did force me to buy more storage. This was after deleting 1000’s of pictures, videos, and emails. It didn’t matter how much I deleted; I realized it was just a dishonest game to them. It was a no-win scenario
