How do I turn off Microsoft Authenticator?

Thank you for your reply. But WHICH options need to be checked/unchecked to allow ONLY the texted code and DISABLE the Authentication App?

So far, it seems like you can either turn it on and you have to deal with the Authentication App. Or turn it off in which case you don't get either the texted code or the authentication app. We only want the texted code and NOT the Authentication App. This seems to be what most folks want.

Compeletly agree with all on this thread - I DO NOT WANT TO AUTH APP - would like the choice to have text code - PLEASE can we have this back

"Not now" has disappeared for us now and it's causing havoc. I can't get my job done and people don't want to use it which I don't mind.

I can't even access the Multifactor authentication part of Azure Mike mentioned because I need a "Premium" licence.
