Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

Interestingly enough, the feature was actually working both Monday and Tuesday this week.

    Now it's gone again.

If I did this at my job, I'd be sacked!

Leaving this for well over a year is completely unacceptable!!

    DO BETTER!!!

Ok, I just found the Roadmap:

    Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365

It seems the sorting feature rollout is planned for November.

    Keep my fingers crossed. 😁

    Hi,

Just wanting to reiterate that this is a highly important feature that is relied on for operational requirements.

If this had been a call out on the update prompt, I would not have updated at this time.

Please advise when this feature will be enabled.

    Thank you.

I'm using the "New" outlook, Outlook Version 1.2024.1009.100 (Production).
I guess it's possible they are doing a gradual rollout, rather than big bang. I must be one of the lucky ones! Just make sure you update your Outlook / Microsoft 365 regularly.

Still not working for me :(

    Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.1017.300 (Production).
