Hi All
I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.
Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).
Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.
It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.
Can anyone assist?

I had to start it twice as it didn't update, but yes, I can see the option now!!! This made my day!!

Yeah this is also working for me now on my work computer - hooray! Hopefully they are gradually rolling this out to everyone now, and hopefully they won't revert the change. They did introduce this fix before, then removed it again (I guess something went wrong). But yeah, as it CURRENTLY stands, I can indeed manually sort my folders once again in New Outlook. Thank goodness!
Just got the pop up in outlook for this feature ! didnt even have to run an updater or anything, just showed up for me. Freely re organizing my folders again! Woohoo!
Please make this a priority, it's a basic functionality :)
I've been reading about this issue on and off for many months now. I work in IT and have probably around 100 folders with dozens of rules that automatically sort incoming mail into the designated folder. This workflow and monitoring method fails miserably when Outlook decides how to order my subfolders.
I've been using classic Outlook while this custom ordering is worked out, but now that app is causing multiple Windows OS UI issues when running. I essentially now have 2 Outlook apps with issues...
Can we please get this done already Microsoft?
