Cannot manually sort folders with new Outlook

Hi All

I'm loving the new Outlook, however I'm having real difficulty manually sorting my email folders.

Clicking & dragging the folder, only allows me to drop the folder INTO another folder, but doesn't allow me to drop it in between other folders (meaning I cannot re-arrange / sort the folders manually).

Right clicking the folder and clicking "Move", again only allows me to move the folder INTO another folder. There is no "move up or down" option unfortunately.

It is currently sorting my folders in alphabetical order, but I wish to change this. I have been through all the settings and cannot find anywhere I can manually sort my email folders.

Can anyone assist?

Thank you

Thomas

Please make it available asap! Favorites is not enough, it does not give access to subfolders. Rearranging folders is crucial for managing a lot of emails.

I came up with this thread and jumped to the last page, hoping that it was resolved already, since YES, favorites is not the same as the previous method since subfolders are not carried on when you fav a folder. I find this quite surprising that, when launching the new Outlook, this was totally overlooked.

Hope manual sorting of folders returns ASAP...

Yet ANOTHER plea for someone (literally anyone) to address the insanity that is the UX/UI of the new Outlook. Organizing folders with drag-and-drop has to be one of the most basic functions of any email program. Like every other person who is extremely annoyed on this thread, this is actually hindering my work functions. I use old Outlook as I prefer to deal with the API integration issues with Teams, etc bc even those headaches are better than new Outlook.

Why has this not been implemented? It's been almost a year since this was posted. There's absolutely no reason for you to just completely ignore all of our complaints and do whatever you want. Your product development team is clearly not committed to anything because nothing has changed.
