I can not receive or send email because One drive is full

This is a much bigger problem than it appears on the surface.

1. Emails are the prime way to verify who you are when accessing daily operations, such as bank accounts, medical issues and so many other things. If you are being sent emails to verify yourself and you have no idea you were even sent such emails, then you are being severely punished for such a simple oversight of not fully understanding how OneDrive works and how it impacts all your devices.
2. When you attempt to understand OneDrive you will realise it's a minefield. Think you can just delete your important family and other photo's off OneDrive so you can stay safe on OneDrive (capacity wise) and have your photo's just on your phone of computer? No, if you delete them off OneDrive your precious photo's will also delete off all your devices, they will be gone (there is small recovery period but you need to have the skills to access them).
3. To fully protect yourself you need to have a good understanding of your computer, phone and OneDrive so you can manually copy important things on OneDrive to a safe storage place on your phone or your computer. This is NOT an easy task to get your head around.
4. Given that email functionality is essential for our modern life, Microsoft have NOT gone far enough to make sure people are not severely disadvantaged by problems with OneDrive. I accept getting this right will be difficult for Microsoft (I know this because as of this date it's still WAY too complex), so in the meantime, Microsoft MUST NOT punish people until THEY make it simple and easy to follow for your 80 year old grandmother.

There needs to be a movement to have emails as a human right.

WINDOWS STAFF - REMOVE THIS OPTION AND SPARE THE DOCUMENTS FOLDER FROM BEING UPLOADED AND LOCKED BY ONEDRIVE. ALLOW THE USER TO DECIDE WHAT GETS UPLOADED TO THE CLOUD.

THIS IS REALLY BEING SAID WITH ALOT OF SWEARING WITH INSANE PROFANITY!

I have exactly the same problems, even after deleting all the Onedrive files and release the sotrage below the cap.

it still shows my Email has exceed limit and can't send or receive emails, including my flight tickets, my hotel reservation....etc.

IT'S REALLY A NIGHTMARE!!!

This change is incredibly inconvenient.

I didn't realise I wasn't receiving e-mails anymore until practically a week later. Now I have upgraded my OneDrive from 5GB to 100GB and my e-mail remains broken. I'm not receiving e-mails and the app keeps closing on it's own whenever I try to synchronise it.

This answer explains why the issue is happening but it doesn't fix it. Even when you upgrade or remove your files from OneDrive, Outlook STILL doesn't function as many other people have stated here as well. How can we solve this?

I am having the exact same issue. In the middle of attempting to settle on a property and the vendor had to contact me to let me know my email address was now undeliverable. This is absolutely outrageous on Microsoft's part. If this is not amended all of my services will be relocated!!!!
