I overcame the opening screen login prompt by adding an e-mail account not previously setup in outlook. From here I was able to view that my IMAP account required password attention. I re-entered the password, which erred. Turned out that the character I thought was a "1", should've been an "l." So, my bad, wrong password. Thought that sharing my flub & alternate resolution might help others resolve their issue to get past the initiation screen.

Hi thanks for the reply in trying to help. I do have my Hotmail account working and Gmail account working in the new outlook, just my karoo account is not accepted. pic 1to 6 shows the sequence I go through. pic 1 insert my email address and click continue, and it gets rejected .so then on pic 2 i go to advanced setup and chooses imap the last one on the list. 3and 4 enter my details with the correct password for my karoo account, i have tried different configs of secure connection types each time it still fails. And press continue. pic 5 press continue. pic 6 sign in failed. Hope this helps, and I'm making a silly mistake. I am using a legal version of Windows 10.

Interesting...It let me add my personal email (Gmail) too. Maybe open your own thread to get some fresh attention from the support staff.

Hmm lol you just gave me an idea for a workaround. I *can* add my gmail (which i've transitioned away from, still gotta monitor it though.) It is unassociated with my MS account, not an alias, etc. I'm thinking i should be able to: A) Set my primary alias to my MS email; B) Sign in with MS email; C) Explicitly add my personal email. I wonder if after doing this, i'd be able to remove the MS email... 🤔 That would be crazy. Can't test it until next week though, swapping primary aliases can only be done twice a week.

Try an authentication option for your incoming IMAP
