The so called New Outlook for Windows is not an email client, it's not even a program. It's nothing more than a MS Edge extension that acts as a Graphical User Interface(GUI) for a server side process. It's glorified WebMail that needs to collect and catalog all of your email accounts on a centralized cloud server rather than syncing emails to a person's physical device.

Note: In a healthcare environment the storage of email that contains ANY patient information by a third party outside the control, security, or possession of either the sender or receiver is a blatant violation of HIPPAA laws.

However, in my case New Outlook for Windows will not even open. All I get is this error message:

Hmmm… can't reach this page outlook.office.com’s server IP address could not be found.

I use a web browser to go my outlook.com email account and I am forced to install the new outlook from the MS Store. I click INSTALL and the New Outlook will not even open. Screenshot below. Basically my Outlook.com email account has been rendered useless, unless I convert it a MS365 premium account to restore outlook.live.com access.

I set up a new email address linked to my Microsoft account for my new outlook account. Sometimes I see it with all lower case and sometimes I see it the way I originally entered it with lower and upper case. I wrote down the password (to make sure I keep track of it. It will not accept it and rejects attempts to send email.

It seems there is no way to get help from Microsoft. I am guessing you charge for your services. How much?
