Hello Anonymous6450,
I’m Segunfunmi, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user like you. Thanks for posting the query here in this forum.
I’m sorry you’re having trouble adding your Outlook email account to the new Outlook. There could be a few reasons why this is happening. Here are some suggestions that might help:
Check for updates: Make sure your Outlook is updated with the latest version. App Password: If Outlook won’t accept your password and you know you’re using the password for your email account, you might have an email account that requires additional security. Depending on your provider, you might need an app password, also known as an application password. This is a different password than your regular email account password. Advanced Setup: If the above steps don’t work, you can use the advanced setup option in Outlook. Open Outlook and select File > Add Account. On the next screen, please enter your email address, select Advanced options, then check the box for Let me set up my account manually and choose Connect.
