New Outlook won't let me add my outlook email account.

Dont expect any help.....

The new outlook that is replacing the old mail program will not let me sign into hotmail and nothing I can find seems to help.

I get this notice when I try. I dont know what to do here.

I have had my hotmail account added to the old windows mail for AGES now. still shows find if I go back to windows mail. if i click the little toggle to new outlook it does not.

My frontier email account stopped working on November 9th. I spent 1 hour on the phone today Novermer 21st with Frontier Tech Support and we tried everything to get it working. Per her request I deleted the account from outlook and have tried about 20 times to add it with no success. I have tried to set up the account manually to no avail. I am able to access my email through the Frontier website but would rather have it send/receive through outlook. Each time I try and add the account the enter your user name and password for the server pops up without me even entering that information and then I get "something went wrong". I can go into change account settings and change the settings to what I was given but still no luck. My husband also has a frontier email account and his works fine, same settings and i am using. I have Outlook 2019. That login box just keeps popping up but will not accept my email or password.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am pretty computer illiterate.

I am having the same problem adding my Outlook. It added fine to the old Windows email but whenever I tried to add it to the new it just failed. This didn't bother me so much as I didn't like the new version anyway so I continued to use the old version where it was available. But now I've been forced on to the new version which has both functionality, and doesn't now have all my email addresses.

I'm not sure how to make the Outlook my primary email as suggested here previously. I don't have a ribbon that others have mentioned. I use my email online.

This worked. Switching out from the New Outlook on Windows 11, switches to the Windows Mail client. A message indicate the Mail client will be replaced with Outlook. In the Windows Mail client, i added my Outlook email address, then switched back to the New Outlook Experience. Low and behold, my Outlook account was added.
