Will there be a way to continue using Windows mail instead of the new Outlook?

This change is just the latest in a massive bevy of (expletive). I sent them the following note telling them how I felt about this latest change to Windows after they asked why I didn't want to use the "new outlook".

"I actually want to use plain Windows Mail, but apparently Microsoft strikes again and now that's not possible. Y'all better be careful, your losing customers fast due to your greed and (expletive). I would never use windows again if one software package I rely on for work can only run correctly on windows. As soon as that changes, I will be switching from windows and never looking back. How do you guys sleep at night? Unfortunately for you all, Karma is a (expletive). Microsoft you will reap what you sow much sooner than later, and I will have my popcorn ready. My question is this: Windows is saying it "will not support" Windows mail after 2024. What does this mean? It sounds from other responses, too, that I can keep my Windows Mail indefinitely, but if it isn't supported, will this be a problem? My contacts did not move over when I tried the new Outlook, and I can't for the life of me figure out from Windows Mail how to create a .csv file to export my contacts into Outlook. I would much prefer to stay with Windows Mail if it won't be a problem after 2024.

SO we are allowed to keep on using the windows mail app, BUT to do so, you'll have to manually change to windows mail every single time, because it keeps opening outlook even though I specifically open the windows mail app, what's even more, I keep on deleting the outlook app and it just installs itself without my consent every single time I try to open the mail app.

outlook is just so damn intrusive, not only does it force-install and open itself every single time I want to read mail, it also has these annoying ads disguised as unread mails, which is one of the most annoying features ever.

I just don't get why MS wants to show us ads in a service that has been free of charge and ads since forever (hotmail client, windows mail) it's not like one of the biggest multinational company actually needs the ad revenue from such a app as it's just a drop in the ocean for them. the decision to "discontinue" mail in favor of outlook is just one of pure greed. if this **** continues I'll just have to find another client that isn't as intrusive as outlook.

For me, I will just keep fighting it as long as it will keep working. I have downloaded MSIX installer for old version of Windows Mail and Calendar communications app and I intend on keeping it safe and protected on my Google Drive for a solid backup. If at any point I get tired of doing this or this method stops working, I'm THEN switching email clients or using email clients from my web browser. Also, you can block Outlook and it's processes from accessing internet using Windows Firewall, just saying - I use Avast Firewall for that myself which helps me automatically detect any connections this **** is tying to make and allow me to block them :>

Microsoft's incompetence knows know bounds.... Don't get me Started on Win11, the terrible Start Menu and loss of the Explorer Ribbon Menu both most of all of that OS's issues. Anyway, as to Outlook.

1. How do you NOT have a "Unified Inbox" option? That's part of the WHOLE POINT of using a single mail application for multiple email accounts.
2. Seriously, AD's....? Now, I'm okay with Ads, but they need to be "non-intrusive". Microsoft makes them intrusive.

• Ads Pretending to be an Email, so it irritates the **** out of you. Is uncomfortable.
• The application has a TON of "blank space" in the Top Bar, the Left Sidebar, etc..... They seriously "can't" put Ads in those spaces? Still seen, but not intrusive.
• Outlook on the Web, same problem... Their Right Ad Sidebar, takes up massive space, makes a person NOT want to use Outlook on the Web because it makes viewing your Emails, the Reading Pane, "uncomfortable". Again, they have a TON of unused "empty space" they could put Ads in, instead of making it uncomfortable to use the application.

3. Given the above issues, haven't even gotten on whether the design is better or not compared to Mail & Calendar.

I'm seriously not happy with Microsoft... I have to buy Windows PRO just to control things as we should be able to, but even then STILL can't get the actual good 10's Start Menu back, or the Explorer Ribbon Menu, among other things. I mean, why couldn't they at least given these as options in PRO? You know, for Pro people?

I'm a Power User, the loss of those things makes Windows literally UNUSABLE for me, save on this Laptop I'm typing on now that I only use occasionally, not being my primary system. My Home OS, I STILL am using Windows 10 because it works how it should.

To give you a clue, I have over 100 Start Menu programs all sized, grouped and positioned how I like.

Off the top of my head, the ONLY improvement they needed to do with Win10's Menu is "auto-add" EXE's/Tiles when the programs/apps are installed. Then we just organize the tiles, remove them etc. as we want.

11's Menu is literally UNUSABLE for me. And it's not acceptable that I should have to BUY a Third party program just for basically functionality. Sure, 11's menu is fine for the "average" person who has just a "couple" of programs installed. But many of us aren't "average users". They did not think this through at all.
