I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

    I do not feel this new outlook was ready for distribution. Spell check does not work 90% of the time. I cannot even get the Editor to open. When I do, I see words with the red underline but no suggestions in Editor?????

    There is a huge delay when initiating a new email and auto populating signatures.

    Signatures become unformatted during sending.

    The lack of formatting options is a huge disappointment compared to the options with the old version.

    I am to the point where I am writing my emails in Word then copy/paste in Outlook. I will be switching back to classic until all the major kinks are worked through

    No. This has not been resolved. Any and all of the suggestions on this thread have not worked, or are unavailable.

    I've even reported this as a bug to Microsoft Support using our Enterprise account; it was ignored. They refused to escalate the issue to engineering, and their 1st tier support clearly didn't understand the issue.

    This is still labeled as "PRODUCTION" software from Microsoft, despite it missing the majority of features from the old Outlook.

    One more thing that might help out people here.

    The editor was still greyed out for me even after opening a new email, I had to manually disable spell check on windows setting for it to work.

    My problem was different, I'm bilingual and in the new outlook you can only have one language spell checked, otherwise every word will be with a red underline in the other language.

    Another solution for me, was after I was able to access the editor, I simply disabled the other language spell checker entirely.

    If this is a problem for more people, I suggest using English spell checked by Grammarly desktop and the other language checked by Microsoft.

    Hopefully, Microsoft will support bilingual spell check in the future.
