I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

    Auto-Correct - Spell Checker, what ever you want to call it, does not work at all in the New Outlook Ver. 1.2023.1018.300 . I can't understand why there would not be a way to turn this on or off, and why, if I read the answer from Microsoft correctly, it may not even be available in certain versions as it's a "work in progress"?? Really? That's just silly! I am sure that most people, especially professionals, or those who use Outlook for work or business rely on this feature to not look like an idiot by making silly spelling mistakes.

    Since my reply here is well after the OP's post, does anyone know if this has changed? Have they actually added it and hid it somewhere that I am unable to find?

    I'd appreciate any help on this.

    I am going back to t he old outlook specifically because the spellcheck function and autcorrect are way better in the old version.

    Cant you just reinstate that ?

    Thank you. The left-click when hovering over the misspelled word works to give suggestions.

    However, I still need ability to force a spell check after clicking on send to confirm the email has no spelling errors.

    How can I add words/entries to the AutoCorrect function in the New Outlook? The old way to do it (File > Options > Mail etc.) no longer works because there's no longer a "File" tab. Thanks.
