I was having an issue figuring out how the spell check worked. My coworker said when you are in a New Message window, and the Message tab, at the top far right of the ribbon, click the "..." and go down to Editor, and then Editor Settings.

At first, when I tried this, Editor was greyed out, but it might have been because I was already in the middle of composing an email. When I opened a new message I was able to get to the Editor Settings.

All the settings were already enabled, but it seemed I had to open the Editor settings at least once for it to "activate" Now spell check works in my Outlook.

Right-clicking a misspelled word won't work. You have to left-click the word to see the spell-check suggestions.

    I am also very disappointed in NO spellcheck in the New Outlook. I have now been forced to use the New OUTLOOK. I cannot switch back. I am like everyone else on this post VERY DISAPOINTED.

    I'm on Windows 11. In my new outlook cannot find "editor". Very, very frustrated as I am the worse speller in the world. For me, a "spell checker" is a must and for something that has been around for years, cannot believe Microsoft cannot get this fixed.

    I would like the autocorrect to actually autocorrect, not give me options to click on. Also should auto capitalize beginning of sentence.

    Hi Barry! This is months later so I am not sure if you were able to revert to old Outlook (if so, please share because I despise this new one, but whenever I open the older app, it auto opens the NEW outlook).

    BUT if you haven't, I found out Spell Check---

    Settings

    General

    Accessibility

    Keyboard Shortcuts, change this to Outlook for Web---- this returns the function of right clicking a red underlined word to be provided a list of suggestions.
