No 'SAVE AS' option for attachments in new Outlook desktop app

Dear All,

Outlook offered to switch my application to the new Outlook version (there is a switch item below the window close button).

It looks like the in-browser version and works better than the former, but it has a missing option in the attachments drop-down menu, called 'save as'.

We get a lot of documents in our emails, which should be saved in different projects' locations on a local hard drive. The in-browser version and the former desktop app have this option but this new app does not.

How can I add this function back again?

    As I stated before… I can no longer wait while Microsoft progresses with the new Outlook program. They should have fixed this simple problem many, many months ago. I have moved over to a Mac computer and I have recommended to many people to get rid of Microsoft because of their inability to work quicker. So many jobs have been compromised and added many extra hours to our work because Microsoft is taking their good old time fixing an issue that should’ve never happened.

    Once again… I am finished with Microsoft.

    There used to be a button that allowed you to return to the classic version of Outlook, but I am hearing from some individuals that the button no longer shows up on their screen. I have also heard for people who have gone back to the classic version… That is if they still have the button to do so… A lot of their files are now corrupt in their email.🤨

    As I keep saying… This is total BS with Microsoft. I am in the process of moving over to a Mac. I have waited too long for Microsoft to fix this issue. I do not want to add all kinds of extra time onto my job because their program writers cannot put a save button into the new outlook that saves to whatever file you choose instead of downloading onto your computer and filing it wherever it wants.

    I’m done with Microsoft.

    For me the Save As option only offers to save in the Downloads folder, not a folder that I choose.

    Yes, here in our marketing department we get people sending a dozen photos at a time, and they don't always zip them. Without the ability to drag and drop them into a folder, it's pure hell.

    I can save one file but not the 10 that come in on one email:/ Which is frustrating because it takes forever to process each file now. This was a huge step backwards for Microsoft.
