Using Classic Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
This is a very real issue, and is a much-needed feature. So, really hoping it is there before the full rollout. I receive files all day from clients and do not want to have to download and then separately cut and paste in File Explorer.
The whole attachment side of the new Outlook is a huge step backwards. The software tries to force you to send a SharePoint link, instead of the actual files. If one wants to send a file from within Word, for example, there are also extra steps one has to send an email with an attachment.
When opening an attachment in the new Outlook, the files no longer simply open - you have to, once again, jump through a series of hoops. Business is all about efficiency. If Outlook is going to make our lives more difficult, we will very likely use a third-party software that isn't constantly and unrelentingly trying to drive us to use SharePoint for everything.
