I was hacked and I’ve tried recovering multiple times now. I’m using a familiar device. I put in old passwords. My recovery email and phone number are no longer attached to the account. I don’t get why Microsoft can’t revert the account to its original state of creation. I need to get this email back. Too many account with it and I can’t switch half of them off it without the email.

I MAY have found a way to fix this! I finally clicked the link to the Office 365 Trial and there was a chat button at the bottom of the page. I just spent 1/2 hour in the chat going through all my recovery info and have been told my request was being elevated to Tier 2. We'll see if they actually get back to me in 3-5 days like they said they would... I need to recover my account so I can use my Office 365 programs again! Maddening.

    Hey Jackson.

So I can post anything telling people how sorry I am that they are having problems, and then list off links that most of us have already tried and found useless, and then call myself an independent expert. I just spent well over an hour in a chat with someone from, supposedly Microsoft support, and got the exact same outcome as the links you post, NOTHING!! A total waste of time & space!

I’ll be moving all my email accounts over to gmail. Can’t be any worse lol. Does this make me an independent expert?

Hello Ryan, Thank you for reaching out. Sincerely apologize for the issue with your account recovery. If you do not have access to your account security info to verify for account recovery purpose the only option will be completing the account recovery form to by pass the verification; https://account.live.com/acsr You will have to provide enough information to prove ownership of the account, If successful you will get a link to gain access into your account to your alternate email. If you have access the the account email and password you can try to update the security email to another email/phone number you have access to. 1. On the Security basics page https://account.microsoft.com/security , select the Update info button. If you're not already signed in to your Microsoft account, you'll be prompted to sign in. 2. You may be asked to enter a verification code to continue. If you don't have access to your alternate email or phone number, choose I don't have any of these and follow the instructions to replace your security info. 3. You'll see your security info under Security settings. Choose Remove for any you want to remove. You may be asked to add new security info before you can remove the old info. see tips to help complete the recovery form successfully in the link; https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/b19c02d1-a782-dee6-93c3-dc8113b20c42 Warm regards, Jackson E.
