How do I move the task bar (has apps: mail, tasks, calendar, etc.) back to the bottom of the screen? Is this called the task bar? I can't figure out how to restore the settings. See picture.

This new view is absolutely atrocious and the most awful amendment I have ever experienced in a microsoft product. its an abysmal downgrade.

Couldn't agree more. I turned off the 'Coming Soon' button located at the top right corner of the screen. That put the panel/task bar back to the bottom of the screen.

Hmm.. this annoyed me for a few days after I first noticed it. Then I decided that I must have changed something inadvertently so I started researching changing it back to the bottom pane. Now I realise after finding this thread I can call off the hunt - it's a done deal.

On reflection it cost me mild aggrevation for a few days, and then an hour or so trying to "fix" it. Now I am just flat out annoyed.

Having said all of that I can say that MS has reinforced my decision earlier in the year to wean myself off a lifetime of MS usage and delve into the world of Google products. Give it a go - you will be pleasantly surprised..
