How do I move the task bar (has apps: mail, tasks, calendar, etc.) back to the bottom of the screen? Is this called the task bar? I can't figure out how to restore the settings. See picture.

The Outlook Desktop Team has made, as usual, an error of judgement in terms of customer service. Reducing customer options is not conducive to positive customer feedback, in general. The propensity to move things around in the name of an "upgrade" is really rather tiring. Don't you have something better to do or are you overstaffed and doing "make work" projects?

    Hi all,

The Outlook Desktop Team has started graduating the navigation bar to the left permanently. This means that Coming Soon will go away for Current Channel starting today and the navigation will be on the left permanently. This rollout will continue over the next few weeks until all of Current Channel has the navigation on the left. Here is the article announcing this update, Outlook for Windows: New location for the Mail, Calendar, People, and other modules (microsoft.com).

Could we get a Outlook Classic option, where the shortcut color is the same shade of yellow it's been for decades, where the navigation bar is on the bottom where it has been for decades... in other words, a version that we are used to that doesn't add changes we don't need?

With all the stress generated by covid, monkey pox, war in the Ukraine, possible war between Chinas, a global recession, and insurrection in the US, please let us use Outlook without pointless cosmetic changes.

Please give me the option to have the bar at the bottom again. I literally hate the left side - so inconvenient and requires more hand motion to do so. Seriously... why change?
