My account has been blocked for some reason.

When trying the:

Enter your phone number and we'll send you a security code We'll send a verification code in a text message. This helps us eliminate spam – we won't give out your number. The code will expire in about 10 minutes.

I keep getting: We cannot send a text message to this number.

Tried different mobile numbers, tried from different browsers and PCs Have tried forgetten password, but still keep getting my account blocked.

How do I get the code?

I see lots of other post about this, but none have worked for me.

    Hi dear Ridley,

    1. Try again after restarting your phone to send the SMS.
    2. Check if your phone or messaging app needs any software upgrades and install them if they are available.

"We’ll only send a text message to the primary phone number on your Microsoft account. If your Microsoft account doesn't have a cell number associated with it, we'll contact you using one of the methods you've provided—your email address, for example. You can change your contact information on the Microsoft account site."

Please refer to this article which is related to your problem:

    Hi

I don't need help gaining the account, I just need the text message sent to me?

I have already tried to recover the account and change the password, and that is all fine, but the account is still locked.

Is there a problem with the text message system with Microsoft?

Why isn't the text message being sent?

    Thanks

Hello Ridley! My name is Janbaz, and I am an Independent Advisor.

Hope I can assist you in finding a satisfactory solution.

For security reasons, support cannot help you gain access to your account.

Answering Microsoft's questions is the only way to validate the account without access to the mobile phone verification or for any reason the verification can't be sent.

I know this isn't the ideal answer you'd like to hear, and I understand how irritating it can be, but it's the only one available at the moment. You can always return to fill out the form if you recall more information.

Navigate to https://account.live.com/acsr to access the Microsoft account recovery page.

To confirm your identification, you will be required to submit some personal data, including your name, birthdate, and address. To the best of your ability, offer factual information.

After your identification has been confirmed, you will be prompted to change your account's password.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
