My account has been blocked for some reason.

When trying the:

Enter your phone number and we'll send you a security code We'll send a verification code in a text message. This helps us eliminate spam – we won't give out your number. The code will expire in about 10 minutes.

I keep getting: We cannot send a text message to this number.

Tried different mobile numbers, tried from different browsers and PCs Have tried forgetten password, but still keep getting my account blocked.

How do I get the code?

I see lots of other post about this, but none have worked for me.

    Just a few things to clarify :

    1. My account is locked (not blocked). So yes, I can login successfully. But then it prompts the message that the account is locked.
    2. I've successfully gone thru the recovery form with all the questions. That's how I even reset my password.
    3. I'm happy to pay for proper support but there's no such option even offered. The last support person even agreed to me that the suggested solution to wait another 24 hours was not something he / she would stand by him / herself. And uppon asking for an alternative solution they just ended the chat....

    Two weeks trying to unlock my account.

    Same issue here in Brazil. But using Microsoft Authenticator in https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2204804  I unlocked my account.

    I had this same issue and have successfully resolved it.

    When I was getting the "We cannot send a text message to this number" error message, I was using Chrome. On a hunch, I opened Microsoft Edge and tried it there.

    Microsoft texted me the code right away!

    Hopefully this helps some of you as well...
