MS Outlook signatures disappeared or missing after Office update

After reading many different posts on this topic, I've come to the conclusion that there's no easy answer and there are many different situations of people all struggling with this issue. While I have figured out how to resolve this for my situation, I have nothing more to offer people on how to fix their situation.

As for Microsoft and their high-handed, unfriendly ways of doing business, perhaps if we all chose a day and time to send them telepathic messages they would get through to the people who make these decisions. I'm not actually kidding about this. I'm serious. I've seen many situation in my life where telepathy with humans and animals works quite effectively.

Whoever wanted to participate - we'd need to choose exactly what the message was so that it would be received very strongly. We'd also need to do it simultaneously.

First, I found this answer very helpful. What was most helpful was the statement from the help document:

The roaming signatures feature will be available to users with mailboxes on Microsoft 365 or Outlook.com. Accounts hosted on Exchange on-premises servers, with third-party email services, or utilizing POP/IMAP accounts will not be able to roam their signatures at this time.

I have 14 email addresses - all in Outlook. Some are POP. Some are on Exchange. Some are third party. So what Microsoft did was take away my ability to edit any signatures on Outlook. I'm not happy!!!!! This is HORRENDOUS!!! Even worse than when they took away the variety of colors that previously were available for categories! I can't believe how idiotic this change is, or how devastating it is to lose the ability to edit my signatures or make new ones on my device simply because the idiots at Microsoft thought everyone wanted roaming signatures. Why would they take that ability away? Not everyone wants to use web-based email!

I did figure out that a few of my signatures can still be edited - the ones that are associated with certain accounts. But most of them are dead in the water - I can't edit them, I can't recreate them, I can't do anything with them.

Horrible, horrible, horrible decision.

Another Msft disaster-when will my signatures be restored MICROSOFT?

Switch is what made me loose all my signatures. I too am having the same issue and cannot get my signatures back

There is an option in the signature box to allow you to choose your signatures from the device or from the cloud. All signatures are now saved on the cloud but the ones previously used will be saved on the device.

Click on the drop down and choose 'this device'. This will allow you to edit or delete your signatures. If you open them and save them in a word document or just open an email with the signatures in, you can then delete the ones saved on the device and then create a new signature which would then be saved on the cloud.
