Normally I can use my mouse to highlight, copy and paste text and URL's from just about anywhere (files on my computer or online) and paste into the body of an email in outlook - have been doing this without any issue for more than five years.
Now, suddenly and without any changes made by me and without any obvious explanation -or solution- I can only copy and paste ONE time after a fresh sign in. Thereafter I cannot copy and paste with my mouse - when I attempt to, a different window opens, it has a paste option in the menu but it does nothing other than close the window.
I can paste with the mouse in the to, cc and subject fields as usual / normal - only the body of the email is affected.
I can paste into the body of the email from the keyboard with Ctr-V - please don't answer with that as the solution - it isn't, it's an alternative.
I am looking to fix the mouse problem - it is how I work and want to continue to work.
Thanks
p.s. Instructions here suggest inserting a screen shot - made two, tried inserting / uploading here but ... that appears not to work either - I don't see any screen shots here do you ?

Sorry not mine but Thank You
With all due respect to everyone trying to post: it is very very hard to get a hold of Microsoft support: they own everything that has to do with email now, they have taken over godaddy email they've taken over every email client in the world, there's no way for me to get support, and I hate not being able to cut or paste.
May I suggest that whoever is making the changes to outlook put back that particular setup and then give us information about one client rather than outlook online rather than outlook client outlook this outlook dot. It's very hard to determine how to do it because there is no way to easily do what it is that we need to do. Before whatever happened , I was easily able to cut and paste on everything that I was supposed to do. I have accounts at least three of them with outlook as the client but I can no longer cut or paste in any of them. I don't know what is wrong with the client but I wish somebody would fix it, and give us back the ability to turn on the ability to cut or paste.
Being that I'm also disabled it also makes it very hard to be able to do anything without being online. I communicate most efficiently by using email but without being able to cut or paste to be able to put information into an email it makes it almost impossible to use your email service so I might as well just get rid of anything Microsoft and never do anything again. Needs to make this easier, don't tell me to go to different sites and don't tell me to turn on stuff that doesn't exist, because there are differing setups for outlook online versus the client versus something else. 2 confusing because there's so many different versions of outlook out there, and some of the stuff that's out there is several years old probably 20 at the latest.
So please tell me how to cut and paste, please put back what you took off and make outlook one client not two or three, put back everything that you take away so we can use it again. To be able to cut and paste and then whatever we cut and paste would have the linkage but I don't even know how to do that anymore. Been using the Internet for 35 or 40 years and this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life!

Thank you, thank you , thank you! It has been driving me nuts not to use my mouse to paste - works now!
I have tried to follow here but my problem is that I send out many emails a week to a long list of people for upcoming meetings. With the old Outlook, I can copy the emails from a word document and paste them in the BCC field. With the Outlook 2024, a right click of the mouse brings up my contacts but does not permit me to paste in this field. I can, however, paste with the old school control V. Because I might have more than 50 participants, it is not feasible for me to add these email addresses one at a time. Any ideas for a fix?
