How to get rid of a new tab on Outlook upper tool bar stating: Try the new Outlook. It recently popped up & replaced my "delete" tab, which is now inside the scroll down menu.

Edited to add: Note that the registry key applies only to classic Outlook desktop software (2016, 2019, 2021, Outlook in Microsoft Office 365 software). It does not work for Windows Mail.

You're talking about the button in my screenshot? It's not a toolbar but you can hide it using a registry key -

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Options\General
DWORD: HideNewOutlookToggle
Value: 1

Start typing regedit on the start menu and when the Registry Editor comes up, open it.

Browse to the path, right click on the right side and choose New > DWORD. Paste HideNewOutlookToggle, press enter then right click on it and choose modified and choose modify. change 0 to 1. \

Restart Outlook.

    I came across this same issue. there is no "office\16.0\outlook\options\general" in my registry either.

    and i don't have microsoft office on my pc either!

    These people that are offering suggestions etc don't work, don't apply, and are useless!

    I gave up trying to remove etc. am looking into other mail programs. unfortunately they cost $$$$

    i like the way it is was and miss the old outlook express version.

    I don't need all the bells and whistles. just a plain and simple email program

    I have mailbird. it's not too back but reeks of this microsoft ****. have trial version of the em client. so far looks pretty good to me. will be going for the full version soon here.

    The registry key is only for Office Outlook desktop software, not Windows Mail.

    If you don't want to use new Outlook and don't own Office, I recommend Thunderbird (free) or eM client (free if you only have one or two accounts in it) - there are others, like mailbird.

    Yea, I’ve tried all of these so called fixes and nothing works! I think Microsoft has their heads shoved where the sun does not shine. They don’t care about the people they are ripping off. Shame on MS!
