I recently switched over to try the "New Outlook". In the older layout version of Outlook, when downloading an attachment I had multiple options on how that attachment could be saved to my computer. The main option I utilized was simply " Save As". In the "New Outlook" version, that option is no longer there. Is there a way to customize the options you see when downloading an attachment? Here are the options it gives:
-Edit in Browser
-Edit in Excel desktop app (it was an excel file in this case)
-Save to OneDrive
-Download
The old options would have:
-Preview
-Open
-Quick Print
-Save As
Save All Attachments
-Upload
-Remove Attachment
-Copy
-Select All
Really looking for the "Save As" option so I can navigate to the final destination folder.

Just adding my voice to what seems to be the major public opinion: please please add the "Save as" option to the New Outlook download options. It is as frustrating as annoying (and time consuming = money not well spent if you have a job that pays by the hour) to manually move the files from wherever they wind up to the project folders where they should be.
There are a lot of other time consuming irritaters and frustraters in New Outlook, A LOT, so check out the feedback I have been sending you for the past 6 months or so.

Right you are! The feature was live for a few weeks (?), then recently disappeared again!?
That forced me back to old Outlook until they restore it (again).
MS: How does your dev team roll out a new (old) feature, then yank it back? That's bush-league stuff IMO.
Hi, thanks for info. I did a test with a 7kb file from New Outlook. I saved it with "Save to PDF" and it went down to 4kb. When I used Kofax "Power PDF" Print option (I use Kofax as a PDF Editor/reader), it went up to 335kb. So in this case, my file size went down by using the basic Save to PDF which I think was already on this Windows 11 installation. If not, it came out as an option from one of the printers setup on the computer. I guess it just depends on which PDF Printer option you have available.
You can always open the attachment and save as from there. The document folder will remain where you saved to last.
If you print to PDF it will increase the file size in most cases as well.
