Ads in Inbox

Today ads started showing up at the top of my Outlook.com Inbox. They look like emails but I can't delete or block them. In the past ads did show up on the right had side and I could live with that but I don't want them at the top of my Inbox.

I want important emails at the top of my inbox not ads. And don't tell me that this is because I have a free account. My google email account is free and it puts all ads where they belong under a Promotions tab where I can ignore them.

How do I correct this?

    EVERYONE INSTALL ADBLOCK AS AN EXTENSION ON YOUR INTERNET BROWSER.

    The ad appears for a few seconds, and then disappears.

    Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company but feels the need to shove adverts down users throats. What an evil, greedy, avaricious tactic to generate even more money. Moving away from Outlook/hotmail after 20 years. Goodbye

    Hello im a rokie in compu, but what works for me is ADD an extension to blocks ADS, you can download in you computer DuckDuckGo that is search engine (google, IE, etc) and add it in you extension, so you can allow or deny wich page IT GOING TO BLOCK ADS, also you can try TREND MICRO CHECK, SAME FUNCTION. ( hope it will help you and sorry for my english.)

    Outlook has started adding ads to the Hotmail IN box.. this is antagonizing, Please stop.!!

    I am listing all Companys that post one of these ads and will not purchase one item from these stores.

    All has been revealed. I received a pop-up screen today telling me that I can go ad free for a a fixed monthly fee. F.O.
