How to add the 'All Accounts Inbox' in Outlook for Windows 11

Yup, I just deleted 40 plus "other" emails with my phone app.

That's just one half day's worth, otherwise if I opened my mail app on my PC I would have had to sort through all that ****.

Microsoft's stance (or lack thereof) is downright offensive to its users! This is a clear representation of Microsoft's lack of commitment to its customers. This is a feature that has been requested for years. All other email clients, mobile and desktop apps, have this basic and important productivity feature (i.e., Unified Inbox). Outlook for macOS and iOS has this feature! Yet, Outlook for Windows and -- even more egregious -- Outlook for Office 365 don't!

Ok I wrote above that I had said all there was to be said regarding this & will say no more. As I had nothing new to add. But a small new thought below just occurred to me.

I’ve a theory about what’s happening here. Microsoft doesn’t care about old legacy features like these. They’re probably allocating cheapest engineering resources for maintenance of old legacy (basic) features like these. No big demand from what’s considered their topmost prima donna engineering for working on maintaining old legacy features like this.

Microsoft cares more about things like adding Bing AI search in Outlook. That’s the kind of stuff they’re pouring their money into right now.

I can’t speak for everyone. But speaking for myself: I don’t care about any Bing AI search in Outlook & will probably never use it. I just want the most basic boring & old legacy feature like this to work. If even such basic functionality doesn’t work, for me it’s a showstopper.

I have 7 email accounts that I use regularly.

On my PC, in Windows Mail I could see at one glance on the main screen if/when new emails arrived in any of those accounts. When I clicked on that account the folders opened for it, and other email account folders were minimized. Everything I wanted was there with one glance, and one click.

With Outlook on my PC I must now open all 7 accounts, and scroll through pages of folders JUST TO SEE IF A NEW EMAIL HAS ARRIVED.

With Windows Mail, if I wanted to look for emails I had flagged in each inbox that I needed to go back to to respond, I could simply click on each account in turn, and it would take me to the top of the inbox for that account, and I could instantly see any flagged emails. Now I have to scroll through pages of folders, and search for each inbox separately. It is not only inefficient, but prone to me missing something important!

How difficult would it be to put the number of any unopened emails next to the account name when minimized, so at least then you can keep the email folders minimized and see when new emails have arrived, and for which account. Instead of having to open them IN CASE something may have arrived.

As others said, this is a non-starter for me. But I am going to be forced into soon. In fact I may already have been. I cannot seem to toggle back to Windows Mail any more!!

I'm mad as h*ll about this.

This is a needed feature. I too switched back to PC from Mac and I have 5 email accounts for multiple businesses and it is a nightmare keeping up with multiple inboxes. Simply put, MS Outlook got kicked to the curb for Mailbird which gives me unified for both email and calendar. MS needs to get these two features going for PC.
