How to add the 'All Accounts Inbox' in Outlook for Windows 11

I have tried the "New" Outlook built for Windows 11, and it's not that different from Outlook which is included with Office 2021/2023/365.

No "All Accounts" or Unified/Global inbox. When the feature is clearly there on iOS and Android. Even the older Windows Mail application is more user friendly and doesn't require huge amounts of scrolling up and down or expanding each account's folders to be able to view what's inside each and every SEPARATE inbox. Is it too much to ask to have ONE inbox for all accounts like there is on the Outlook iOS and Android apps?

Yes, there are probably ways to make it happen - with macros, rules or using VB script, but that's pretty advanced stuff. We just want a Mail client (or application) that works, is easy to use, and has the same features across ALL PLATFORMS.

I honestly don't think Microsoft cares. Or, they're holding this back as and will announce it as a brand new feature for Windows 12 to make us think they've done something great and revolutionary. I've submitted feedback several times to Microsoft when reverting back to the old Windows Mail client. Hell, I purchased Office 2021 and have used every other application except Outlook in that too - all because of the All Account Inbox issue. I want it to be like the app I use on my iPhone and iPad thanks. I expect that same ease of use user experience on my Windows desktop PC.

Under ordinary circumstances, I would’ve given benefit of doubt like this. But the original question was asked many months ago. & all there’s in terms of response is some obtuse (unintentional or intentional) indecipherable gobbledygook.

For the 2nd time, I’ll state that I’m not referring to anything about Karl from original response personally. To the best of my knowledge, I don’t even believe Karl works for (or in any official capacity represents) Microsoft. Apologies if I’m mistaken in my belief.

If I’m correct however, can someone other than Karl & esp officially representing Microsoft just come over here & respond to this controversy?

From my perspective I did the following yesterday. When I rolled back on Windows 10 from new Outlook preview to older Mail & Calendar, Microsoft presented me w/ their canned response form: “Oh, please don’t go, please don’t go! Why’re you leaving? Was it something we said or we did? LOL”. In that response form, I posted a link to original post of this thread. Also I stated in clear words that Microsoft must address this ridiculous situation definitively, as it’s reflecting their organization in an extremely poor light.

When & what anybody from Microsoft wants to do about this, I’ve no idea. I did my part & am moving on from this. I suggest more people also submit similar feedback forms & start making noise. If too many irate feedbacks beyond a certain threshold are received, 1 of these days a Microsoft Vice President in product marketing &/or user experience &/or quality control may wake up & start yelling @ their minions for letting this irritation happen & wanting to resolve it.

I think there must be a misinterpretation on the part of Microsoft as to what the problem is. I say this because there is absolutely no possible way that they came out with a version of Outlook that does not have the ability to consolidate multiple email accounts into a single, unified view. The product simply would not get past even the most basic of review stages, and certainly would not qualify for alpha, let alone beta or production status. Thus, the capability must be within the tool somewhere. Imagine having to use a different TV for every TV station you wanted to watch. Sounds silly, doesn't it?

So, I will ask the question more clearly in hopes that it was simply not understood:

What are the steps to take in Outlook so that ALL emails, regardless of the email address sent-to, appear in a single, consolidated view?

I second this and would like to reiterate that the response is worse than the issue itself.

With all due respect, this has to be the most stunningly disqualifying response to an extremely intuitive, 1 of the most basic use cases expectation.

Above statement not addressed personally to Karl, but rather to product management & user experience teams @ Microsoft.

Seriously, I’m incredulous & makes me wonder esp if the user experience team even spends any time gathering information regarding everyday use patterns

OR

they just spend time in isolated conference rooms talking amongst themselves for what should be according to them highest priority gadgety bells & whistles?!?

As said above: This serious deficiency makes the product totally disqualified for any meaningful usage, & on Windows 10 I’m switching back from “New Outlook Preview” to older & clunkier looking “Mail & Calendar”

It would be an understatement to express how disappointed & shocked I’m regarding this issue in this advanced day & age of August 2023.
