Hi,
I've been using copy and paste frequently in my work Outlook account for almost two years without any issues.
The other day I found I could no longer paste text into the email body. It doesn't matter where it's from, and copy works fine, just not paste.
What happened just prior to this was a window popped up saying something about allow or block pasting from clipboard, but I didn't read it properly and clicked block, and suddenly it wouldn't let me paste anything (unsurprisingly... just I'd never seen that pop-up before so it caught me off guard and I didn't know if it was genuine)
Anyway, I closed the app and reopened it and tried again. This time the pop-up appeared again and I clicked 'allow' and thought it was all fine.
It still wouldn't allow me to paste, so I closed the app again, reopened it, and it was working, which it continued to do all day.
The next day (yesterday) I opened it as usual, no pop-up, but it wouldn't let me paste. Now if I click on paste, the options box just hangs there and doesn't disappear, and it still won't let me paste.
The only thing I can think is there was an update the other day and I wonder if there's a bug in the new version.
Does anyone know how I can revert to a prior version perhaps? I really need this function for work, it's disabling without it.
Many thanks.
ETA: I've just tried using ctrl+shift+v and that allows me to paste. So this is something to do with Outlook itself I think. But I have a workaround for the time being, if that helps anyone with the same issue.

I use MS Edge
This is a function in Microsoft edge settings for clipboard that can block a site for copy paste! Go into settings in edge and go to cookies and permissions and find clipboard and delete the site from the blocked.
After looking at the instruction for FIREFOX, if you cannot find a way to apply the same LOGIC to the MS EDGE, there is an alternative for you to use the PASTE feature when the right click on the MOUSE is NOT working for you.
First copy the material you want to PASTE. Move the mouse to the location where you want to have it pasted. LEFT click on the mouse to ensure this location.
NOW , go to the KEY BOARD, PRESS down and HOLD the following three keys:
Ctrl Shift v
The copied material should appear............. Good Luck.
I'm having the same issue but I'm Opera Android there is no lock to the left of address, and nice to see that Microsoft continue to live up to their reputation of rooting your phone and flocking MS right off... Lucky they made 10000 (of the quality?) Tech Heads redundant.
Thanks for nothing, microsh_t.
There are different methods to copy and paste in outlook email depending on the format, platform, and content of the email. One method is to use the forward option and then select all and copy the entire email with details^1^. Another method is to adjust the editor options and the cut, copy, and paste options in the mail format tab^2^. A third method is to use keyboard shortcuts likeCTRL-C and CTRL-V to copy and paste the email message with attachments^3^^4^.
I have used the CTRL-V to paste text to the new message without an issue.
