I switched to the new outlook and it is no longer showing the total number of emails in each folder.

Why isn't Microsoft responding? Or fixing it?

I actually just noticed by hovering over your folder, there is a popup of total messages as well as an unread count. so this is the simplest wat rather than selecting all etc. i will try it for a few days to see if i can get used to it!

If you right-click on inbox, you can see the total number of emails. I want to be able to see it at a glance. Why take something away with an upgrade?

This is a basic inbox management feature that is a must. Microsoft, please bring this back.

I completely agree. I don't want to hover over each of my favorite folders to see if they have any items. The total count should always be visible next to the folder name as it was before.
