Use iCloud+ Custom Email Domain with Outlook for Windows

Hi,

I´ve set up an iCloud+ Custom Email Domain with Apple and I wanted to use the custom domain also on the Outlook App for Windows, where my @icloud.com email address is also set up. The customer email domain works at icloud.com and also via the mail app for apple, I can send and receive mails from and to the domain. After the initial set up via the settings from icloud it got automatically added. The domain works like an "alias" for the @icloud.com email. The incoming mails are received/ and the outgoing emails are in the send folded by icloud.com. I tried to add the email as an additional mail account on Outlook, it did not establish a connection to the server. I tried to change the icloud account information via Outlook; selected iCloud account, then clicked on account settings, then manage profile, and the email account; I tried to change the email to the custom domain there, but received the same issue. Do you have any suggestions how to use the customer iCloud Email Domain on the Outlook App, so I can sent and receive mails from that domain?

    In my registry, the path was:

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Profiles\Outlook\9375CFF0413111d3B88A00104B2A6676\00000011

    and the string to edit : Email

    The way to find your location is to navigate to

    Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Profiles\Outlook

    and subsequently search (F3) for your email address with icloud. Change it to the email with your new domainname and save exit.

    Works for me :=)

    Hello,

    I had the same issue.
    Contacted Apple and Windows customer support, but couldn't resolve the issue.

    I was able to make custom domain on iCloud+ work on outlook by doing the following. Hope it will work in your case too.

    Go to Manage Apple Account

    Go to Email&Phone numbers section.

    By default, you iCloud.com email will be the primary email to sign in to AppleID/iCloud services.

    Make your custom domain email the PRIMARY email for signing into iCloud/AppleID services.

    Now you can go to outlook. Add account > enter custom domain email > generate app specific password > All set. You can send and receive emails using iCloud+ custom domain email.

    OK, did that but didn't find my iCloud address in there. Well, I searched the registry after I applied Stefan's suggestion. So I searched for my custom domain and found the key all set already as you suggest. So, Stefan's method already configured it correctly for me.

    However, Outlook is now refusing to send emails. Well, Outlook does not complain, it simply lets the emails rot in the Outbox.

    I am having the same issue, except that I am trying to implement this on a Mac.

    Are there any options avaiable?
