Quick actions - location changed in inbox?

Hi,

Starting today, the location of the Quick Actions has moved in the Inbox message list. They had been located between the Sender name and Subject for each message but now have moved to the far right side of the screen, which I find cumbersome to use.

Does anyone know of a way to change the location of the columns in Outlook.com or at least the location of these? The only thing I see in Settings is the ability to toggle on/off the various Quick Actions themselves (e.g. Pin, Categorize, Delete, etc.)

Hi. Turn on the reading pane. Quick action will return to previous position but you will be stuck with the reading pane bb

Thank you, but I tried it and don't like it. I just want them to put the quick actions back where they were. There have been so many complaints. People are clearly unhappy! I don't understand why it hasn't been switched back.

I agree. But until they do it’s an option. Which will allow me to continue to use outlook instead of having to change email programs.

WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO CHANGE TO THE READING PANE WHICH AT LEAST IS AN OPTION!!!. There have been sooo many complaints about this change they need to change it back. Last time I checked we are the CUSTOMER!

Please see earlier post and please, please also post your dislike for this change here or else the parties responsible will not see this thread and we will have to continue to live with this. By using the "reading pane" you are also opening email that you would otherwise you would just delete, such as "spam". To my of way of thinking this is not a fix nor an option that I wish to use. They just need to listen to the users and change it back. This has been going on for over a week.

Their own info in the settings for Quick Actions still says that they appear after both the sender name and  the subject line!"

hope they will take note and either change it back or allow us to customize!

Yes, they need to change it back. I spent hours trying to figure out what happened. It wasn't until I searched in this community and found these posts that I discovered it wasn't me having difficulty navigating the latest update, but this unwelcomed change by Microsoft. I sent feedback to Microsoft a week ago (with links from this community). but haven't heard back. Not sure if they respond to feedback, but at least we know they get them. If you haven't done so already. everyone should follow the steps above to make sure Microsoft knows users don't like this change (click the "?" at the top right and in the window that opens click the small "Feedback" link at the bottom to submit feedback)

Reading pane may be an option for some, but I hide it due to the many emails received daily. I usually scan email, flag ones for follow-up, and pin important emails needed reference or meetings. This has become cumbersome and inefficient with the movement of Quick Action icons. Having a reading pane on the right decreases my list view of all emails by over a half and opens up emails that I don 't want to open. The experience has not been good with a large screen. My feedback to Microsoft was to please change it back or give us the option to re-arrange columns.
