Access Denied in New Outlook

I am using the New Outlook and when I log in and click on a message and try to view it, I get an access denied message. Yesterday, I was told that I had to log in but I wasn't given that option. Today, I just get an access denied message with no log in recommendation.

I am an Office 365 Home subscriber, using Windows 10. I can get my Outlook messages by loading Outlook through Office 265.

This might be of use to some users. I was having the same trouble with one of our accounts, and couldn't resolve it following any of the troubleshooting steps that had been provided. These are the steps I took:

    1. Force a sign out of all sessions in the Microsoft 365 admin center for the impacted user account
    2. Remove the account from Outlook
    3. Close Outlook
    4. Open Outlook and add the account again

I believe it would probably also work without removing the account, and by simply re-entering login credentials, but we're a few hours in, and the account is now working perfectly again. Hope this helps!

I also tried this, but the problem still persists. It literally logs me out every 10 seconds or so. Even when you delete the email account and then attempt to re-add it ... the problem still persists. You don't even have the option to enter your password, it just adds the account automatically. Seems like a massive security flaw with the new Outlook. I took to Twitter (X) to see if anyone else if having the same problem and it seems to be affecting MANY people. My MS subscription ends in June, if it's not resolved by then, I'm out completely and will give Mac a shot.

The ONLY solution that works long-term is to revert back to the old Outlook. Everything works now I've done this. Microsoft really need to pull their finger out, this has been going on for over a year now. Totally unacceptable in this modern day and age.

Sounds To Me that this is a problem with the local Outlook if you switch to web version it doesn't happen. I do go back to local version, and it still happens.

so, for now, just using the web version until Microsoft Fixes it and i have tried everything. everyone one has posted on this, and nothing works.
